Injury Illness Prevention Program
EHS Compliance Programs for Your Business
Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
The Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is a written safety plan required by the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, section 3203 and must contain the following information:
System for ensuring employee compliance with safe work practices
Safety communications systems with employees
Procedures for correcting unsafe/unhealthy conditions
Scheduled inspections/evaluation system
Identify the person or persons responsible for implementing the program
Accident investigation
Safety and health training and instruction
Record keeping and documentation must be maintained
To be effective your IIPP must:
Fully involve all employees, supervisors, and management
Identify the specific workplace hazards employees are exposed to
Correct identified hazards in an appropriate and timely manner
Provide effective training
If you have questions about how IIPP can help your company and your employees, get in contact with us and we can give all the answers you need. Is your IIPP current and up to date? Let ESCC review/revise or create a current program for you.
Need to have your business be EHS compliant?
COVID-19 Preparedness Plan
All employers and places of employment are required to establish and implement an effective written COVID-19 Prevention Program (CPP) pursuant to an Emergency Temporary Standard in place for COVID-19 (California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, section 3205(c)).
Employers can create a written CPP by incorporating the required elements into their existing Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Cal/OSHA encourages employers to engage with employees in the design, implementation and evolution of their COVID-19 Prevention Program.
Let ESCC work with you and your employees to help incorporate the required content into your written IIPP or help you write a stand-alone COVID-19 Prevention Program.
