DOT RCRA HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TRAINING
EHS Training Programs for Your Business
DOT RCRA Hazardous Materials Training
Employees who work for employers that generate, manage, store or handle hazardous waste must receive RCRA HAZMAT certification training which complies with RCRA 40 CFR, Parts 262.34 and 265.16.
Many products used by your employer and then discarded are considered hazardous waste.
This training will help you identify those materials and help you properly manage, store, handle, and label them as hazardous waste. Working with HAZMAT material is hazardous by definition, and employees must use both extreme caution and HAZMAT security awareness.
Regulations developed by the Department of Transportation (DOT) govern the training requirements for anyone who performs work functions as described in 49 CFR Part 172. Hazardous materials DOT shipping training ensures that workers are familiar with the wide variety of hazardous materials regulated by the DOT. The DOT requires all HAZMAT employees to complete DOT HAZMAT awareness and shipping training in three key areas: general awareness, function-specific, and safety and security.
According to DOT HAZMAT regulations, anyone involved in the packaging, marking, labeling, manifesting, and offering for transport of hazardous materials or hazardous waste must be familiar with proper handling and safeguarding as prescribed in the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR). The DOT RCRA Hazardous Materials Training offered by ESCC Inc. will help you maintain compliance with these regulations.
